This rod features specially designed features specifically for trolling: the guides are 1 piece of nearly indestructible stainless steel, the blanks are a QualTech graphite/fiberglass weave, and the handles are EVA foam for comfort and durability. The heavy power is perfect for all forms of musky trolling and the medium action provides a beautiful parabolic curve that absorbs shock while delivering a heavy hookset upon the strike. We even installed a gimbal at the base of the butt section to secure the rod in the rod holder and eliminate rod twists. If you don’t want or need the gimbal, a rubber cap comes installed on the butt section.
